Mess Hall – Where troops eat meals.

Wheels Up – Leaving, Enroute, Departing

AWOL – Absent Without Leave.

Got Your Six” – I’m watching out for you.

Check Your Six” – Look out behind you.

MRE– Meal Ready to Eat. 

O Dark Thirty – Very early in the morning before the sun comes up.

PCS – Permanent Change of Station.

 

Band Aid – Medic/ Medical Provider

Helo – Helicopter.

Bird – Also a helicopter

Civvies  – Off duty civilian clothes.

Field Strip – Tear apart weapon for cleaning, repairs or lubrication.

Poppin Smoke – Smoke to signal a helicopter or other aircraft.
