Happy Campers & Unhappy Campers
It can be tricky to read social cues at a campground because everyone is there for different reasons. Some happy campers want to socialize around the campfire, while others are strictly looking for peace and quiet. Some might be fishing, swapping lies or just enjoying good old fashioned family time. Others could be camping to get away from family or their boss at work. Personally, I’ve had many reasons for retreating to the outdoors and it wasn’t always to have a good time. Sometimes my best friend at the camp was a bottle of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey. Based on 70 years of living, I’ve seen some clear signs. Maybe the neighbor actually wants to hang out and socialize or maybe they’re just polite and want to be left “The F” alone.
