Campers headed to the outdoors often make mistakes. Packing stuff they don’t need and trusting untested camping gear. Always unpack, inspect and test your camping gear before you leave home. If something has been damaged by mice or lost, finding that out at home beats getting stuck at camp.

Check weather forecast.
*  Pitch the tent at home first.
* Check batteries & propane.
* Check all lights & tools.
* Check all generators.
* Test refrigerator or camping cooler.

Please don’t forget to bring extra water for dishwashing and basic hygiene. Pack plenty of trash bags and leave your campsite clean. I always pack insect, ant and roach sprays. If you take a gun, never leave your weapon unattended.
