In Florida, for example, honorably discharged veterans with a service connected total and permanent disability are often exempt from paying any property taxes on their primary residence.

Exceptional Veterans Affairs (VA) Infrastructure: Veterans require specialized healthcare, and both states boast massive, high-performing VA networks due to their high concentration of military retirees and historical bases. Florida has millions of veterans and major VA medical centers in cities like Tampa, Orlando, Miami and Gainesville, along with numerous outpatient clinics. Arizona is home to the Phoenix VA Health Care System and the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (Tucson), which are known for comprehensive veteran services. In addition, a massive population of aging veterans rely on specialized health care. Veterans often also miss the camaraderie of military service after we retire. Florida and Arizona offer built-in communities of people who share our military background and love for America. Camping happens to be another bonus.
