Reading For The Sight Impaired
Veterans answered the call when our nation needed them most, trading their youth, safety, family and for far too many, their lives to protect freedom. But when the uniform came off, a different battlefield of darkness and vision left many of us sight impaired. For our sight impaired veterans, the world suddenly feels smaller, harder and entirely out of reach. That’s why I press record and read from The No Judgement Campsite pages of my website. Making these videos isn’t just a passion project, it’s my way of standing at attention for all of us who served. It’s just my way to bridge the gap between a world that some of us can no longer fully see, and the connection retired veterans so deeply deserve.
By reading the website pages for the vision impaired, hopefully more will be able to share the outdoors experience. I want to ensure that retired veterans who sacrificed their sight, never lose their vision for a less stressful environment while camping. This is the ‘why’ behind the camera. This is for the extraordinary camping seniors who inspire me to keep shooting videos. Brothers and Sisters who served in the greatest military on earth, thank you for your service. I’ll keep reading.
